CHAMPION x BEAMS: the new Autumn/Winter 2016 collection
Innovation and renewal characterise the first collaboration between the historic sportswear brand and the leading Japanese directional retailer Beams that has redefined and re-read for Champion the patterns of the iconic sweatshirt Reverse Weave. Appeared on the market in 1934, the symbol of the brand is today a hyper-performing garment with a special polyurethane coating capable of polarising water therefore making it water repellent. Reflecting the peculiarly clean and minimal Japanese style, the collection comprises also sweatshirts and T-shirts deconstructed through trompe l’oeil given by the use of zips, which still strong and metallic are the key elements of kangaroo pockets positioned on the sides of bomber jackets and coach jackets to create new use patterns.
