‘Crafting in the Future’ in Milan
The ‘Crafting for the Future – storie di artigianalità ed innovazione’ exhibition is currently at Mudec Museo delle Culture in Milan. Maglificio Miles, a historic industrial workshop in Vicenza, Italy that collaborates with the most important fashion houses since 1962, created the garments on display with 3D details, appliqués, lace, ruffles, structures using yarns by Lineapiù Italia, the textile mill based in Capalle near Florence. The NeTTA (New Technology for Textile Application) project focused on 3D printing was born from the collaboration of Lineapiù Italia, the Italian architecture studio PS Architettura, and Materialise, a Belgian company leader in 3D printing.
