The words spoken by Lella to describe her new collection are so intense we were compelled to cite an excerpt: “Whenever I come upon the kiosk of a florist, rest my gaze on a flower bed, seize the nook of a lush terrace, or am embraced by a green field, I am happy . The shapes of leaves and the corollas of flowers, I wished to abduct and transform into pants and bodices. I stole gardens for embroideries, drew rose gardens, clematises, and hydrangeas for graceful dresses in printed chiffon, applied forget-me-nots and poppies: all for a hymn to life, which is my true garden and, especially, that of the heart.”
