Desa Nineteenseventytwo. Between boldness and modernity
In the penthouse of the Carlton Hotel Baglioni, Desa’s CEO, Burak Celet, personally presented the 2016-2017 Fall/Winter of his label, Desa Nineteenseventytwo, as part of Milan Fashion Week and before a large audience of influential journalists from various important media.
For this upcoming cold season, the brand born under the crescent moon addresses themes that give rise to very bold new designs, for a line within which a sense of modernity is experienced throughout. Equestrian forms and details, representing a “sports-luxe” look, confer to bags a sense that is timeless, while being extremely timely.
Desa Nineteenseventytwo has always paid close attention to quality and, in this Fall-Winter, introduces latching elements, such as toggles, along with details that enhance the label’s DNA, such as saddle stitching, handles with bold shapes, and sporty straps, all aspects that are absolutely in tune with the rest of the Turkish brand, acknowledged and appreciated by true connoisseurs who love clean lines and an architectural aesthetic.
Colors are inspired by the forest and the desert, in harmony with a selection of luxurious materials, such as lambskin, exotic leathers, and suede. Desa Nineteenseventytwo also utilizes a unique and artisanal inlaying techniques: the skins are layered in a graphic finish of diamond shapes and color-blocked panels. The collection best combines trims of a sublime craftsmanship with a sporty look, enhanced by the contemporary style of camera-bag straps.
