Dior. Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Maison Dior for just the past few seasons, has worked from the outset to place the female figure at center stage with powerful feminist slogans. For her Spring 2019 couture collection, “Dream Parade”, she brings a London troupe of acrobats and jugglers to the catwalk, transforming the Musée Rodin into a circus. A dreamlike and mysterious universe that was so loved by Monsieur Dior. It is no coincidence that the show was performed on the day of the 114th anniversary of his birth. References to Picasso, Federico Fellini, Cindy Sherman, Jeanne Cocteau, and Gerard Vicaire are embodied in an eccentric and spectacular collection, made up of long, sparkly dresses, tailored jackets with a masculine touch, geometric mini-dresses, and skirts structured like cages.
