Filo in Milan at Palazzo delle Stelline
After having participated for the third time in Milano Unica, exhibiting in the trends area with its own installation, Filo opens the 51st edition of its show on February 27th and 28th at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan. Sustainability in the textile production process is the central theme of this event, which is the subject of the inaugural round table. For its product development proposals, Gianni Bologna has chosen the term “Dissonances”, in the spirit of discordance and juxtaposition when dealing with themes in textile contrasts, in the search for hybrids, overlays, different depths in aesthetic contents, materials, and colors, therefore, the elegant “opposite” that is never traditional, never excessively informal, never unkempt. An alternation between lucidity and opacity, different patterns of decorations made with prints, with jacquard – even large, and with embroidery. A new palette is enriched with metals and iridescence, among almost subdued colors, nuances that imitate natural dyes, and lights that are inspired by the aurora borealis, and also among strong opaque colors, in the union of cold and warm, and sand and mineral pastels.
