Galleria Provana, the new meeting place of Jamais Sans Toi and Merci di Culto, two young labels from Piedmont, Italy
Galleria Provana, a gallery where you can find the creations by Jamais Sans Toi and Merci di Culto, two emerging labels from Piedmont, was founded at number 5/c via Provana in Turin, Italy. Self-produced objects, like ceramic and silver jewels, ceramic cups and lamps, wall mirrors, sculptures, works of art, as well as an interior design and product design studio, are available in this small cross section of creativity.
Merci di Culto is the label launched in 2011 by the young designer Alessandra Scarfo, active on an international level in product and interior design as well as trade show installations and art exhibitions. Her obviously multidisciplinary approach is focused on environmental quality and takes inspiration from contemporary design models with the utmost care when researching new materials for developing customised solutions and when assessing the quality of the details.
Jamais Sans Toi was born in 2012 from the union of Camilla and Valentina Gallo’s passions, preferences, skills. The name is inspired by Chiomonte, the town on the slopes of the Val di Susa in the province of Turin where Camilla and Valentina come from. Its emblem depicts a sun shining on two bunches of grapes beneath the motto “Jamais Sans Toi”, i.e. “Never Without You”, in ancient Occitan dialect. The sun and grapes, primordial elements, led to identifying the sphere as the main inspiration source for the label’s contemporary jewels, complex modular compositions, carefully handcrafted thanks to the art of ceramic. The label combines the features and aspects of clay, its main raw material, with the use of local craftsmanship methods. The meeting of these aspects creates modern and distinctive designs that make the Jamais San Toi jewels instantly recognisable. Because they are pieces that are the result of a careful study of volumes and colours, accessories that give a sense of preciousness as well as lightness and versatility.
