Gucci in “equilibrium” with the environment

A new portal dedicated to sustainability and the search for new ethic models

Gucci takes a further step towards transparency and sustainability. On Monday 4 June, one day before World Environment Day, the luxury brand launched Gucci Equilibrium, a new portal and website entirely dedicated to “environmental issues, people and the search for new models”. The new project, which is part of a ten-year plan to support sustainability and the employees, will be one of the key tools for updating employees, press and customers on the results achieved within this context. “Equilibrium means that we are focused on bringing the best quality to our customers, while maintaining a positive social and environmental impact”, reads the website. Gucci is not new to similar initiatives: it was the first luxury company to join Parks – Liberi and Uguali, the non-profit organization that promotes the values of diversity and inclusion within the company members, with special attention to sexual orientation and gender identity.
