Guo Pei Haute Couture spring summer 2018
The Cirque d’Hiver, a location that witnessed clamorous fashion shows during the 1990s, also hosted a spectacular collection by the most famous Chinese designer of the moment: Guo Pei. Archetypal figures moved around on an enchanted island: mermaids, fairies, and angels in symbiosis with Mother Nature. Dozens of flowers created in the designer’s atelier, in various shapes and colors, small works of craftsmanship that, together with natural stones and crystals, embellished clothes extracted from a dream. Guo Pei’s exquisite dresses are exhibited on Bonaveri mannequins at the “National Gallery of Victoria Triennal” in Melbourne, an art and design venue that collects the works of over one hundred international artists in Australia until April 15th.
