HSG.Cotonificio Roberto Ferrari: the round is with the Spring/Summer 2017 collection

The Cotonificio Ferrari took a crucial decision when it began to manufacture patterned mixes with wool source fibres on top of  producing classic cotton. By changing the machinery to work across the different mixes, the company moved from linear yarns to slub ones, to core spun ones using various types of elastic core, to tweed-nubby ones, to ‘siro’ ones and, last but not least, to melange ones. Cotton still remains the core business for the company, no longer seasonal both because of the interchangeability of world markets and because of the fancy features of the yarns that are able to have winter features and touch, always on trend as melange. Boucle is a major theme for Spring/Summer 2017, both in fine cotton or viscose and linen. The shiny viscoses in ‘siro’ and slub yarns alongside linen/cotton mixes still have an important presence in the collection. Also in the collection a melange colour palette in 100% Tencel mix, a fibre in high demand because of its low environmental impact. As the hectic world of fashion demands with ever more insistence new products quicker and quicker, service consequently becomes crucial, never disconnected with high quality. This is why Cotonificio Ferrari is Ekotex and GOTS (organic) certified and works closely with certified companies that make up the Italian chain of excellence. Next on the line, the Detox certification. One of the great strengths of Cotonificio Ferrari is the wide stock service: available on 90% of its collections, it allows customers to meet the more and more divided demands of the market in terms of orders per kg/mt.
