The young Lebanese designer, winner of last year’s “Who Is On Next? Dubai”, proposes a collection that is closely related to the world of alchemy. Symbols of nature: unicorns, stars, butterflies are impressed on dresses in a mix of prints, appliqués, and embroideries, imparting a special effect, as if they were painted on. Colors are dark, those of the earth, enlivened by gold, red, and white. Fabrics, mainly raffia and lace, are all handmade. A tribute to “Sophia the Alchemist” who, during the Middle Ages, discovered the formula for the elixir of long life and guarded it jealously, becoming immortal, living throughout many eras.
