IATF: great success both in Abu Dhabi and in Dubai

The fourth edition of the International Apparel & Textile Fair closed with very flattering results

The fourth edition of the International Apparel & Textile Fair (IATF) closed in Abu Dhabi with huge success. The biggest international trade show in the MENA region dedicated to the world of fashion, textiles, machinery and prints greeted in 70 new businesses during the opening day.

IATF is an event that continues to grow: this year the show saw an increase of 2,500 visitors and the exhibitors were about 150. For its part, Dubai had some absolutely extraordinary days: without any presumption but with a perfectly right pride, the organisers assert that IATF was the largest fair in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) and the most important platform for the textile industry both in the UAE and in the world.

Abu Dhabi hosted thousands of people creating an absolutely outstanding local spin off of activities. In particular, the event dedicated to the textile industry recorded a growth of 5.42% and was visited by many fashion operators. IATF left a lasting impression thanks also to lectures and seminars. Among the speakers, Amhed Badr from PANTONE, Ayesha Siddique from Future Fashion, Anna Livermore from V.Mora, Eljammi Gozalli from the brand ELJ and even Bhakti More from the Manipal University in Dubai and the University of Shanghai.

Before an audience of attentive participants who took notes, the speakers discussed sustainable fashion, fashion brand management, the ten most frequent mistakes made by designers and other issues. The next appointment with the fifth edition of the International Apparel & Textile Fair is on November, 14th and 15th 2016.
