Jacquemus a/w 2016/17
Two-dimensional garments
The continuous search for poetry brings Simon Porte jacquemus towards a world that is reminiscent of the 90′, made up of conceptual, two-dimensional garments, of draping and tailor-made coats in shades of white and yellow or squares on a blue background with
a madras print, like tablecloths seen in the south of France on tables near the petanque court. Impressive is the ability he has demonstrated in knowing how to diagonally cut an outfit, then joining it together with ribbons. Conceptual and well-made.
