Bridal Fashion Week lights up Barcelona
A week in Catalonia you cannot miss, dedicated to brides
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week celebrates its 29th edition from April 23rd to 29th, making Barcelona the capital of fashion, where international brands have chosen characteristics places in the city to show their 2019 collections.
The Pronovias fashion show opened the event at Fira de Barcelona Montjuic, a location surrounded by the Palau Nacional and the Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia palaces. Rosa Clarà will show her latest creations today on April 24th in the Recinte Modernista Sant Pau, a place of great historical value.
The star of Barcelona Bridal Night is American designer Reem Acra, with her fashion show in the Marqués de Comillas hall of the Maritime Museum, during the BBFW gala evening, which brings together professionals and international guests. Finally, on the evening of April 27th, the Elle International Bridal Award will be presented in the auditorium of the Historic Palace of the University of Barcelona.
Palaces 1 and 2 in Montjuic, in Plaça d’Espanya, will host most of the fashion shows, as well as the “Queens for a day” event, where 15 vintage wedding dresses can be admired, signed by some of the best brands like Coco Chanel, Christian Lacroix, and Yves Saint Laurent and presented in a complete exhibition, organized by the Rocamora Foundation at the Rocamora house.
