The new Franceschetti footwear at Pitti Uomo
At the Florentine footwear festival, the company presented its trends for Autumn-Winter 16-17, marked by a fusion of different styles.
The third and fourth generation of Franceschetti, manufacturers of men’s shoes for almost 100 years, worked together on the trends for A / W 16-17, and presented them at Pitti Uomo 89. Two generations who meet / collide to sketch and propose new products, obtaining as a result a unique fusion of different styles that blend to perfection. Tradition and innovation, classic and casual, leather and E.V.A., artisanship, and ancient skills transpire from the traditional and handpainted collection. Both have double- leather bottoms and Blake Rapid stitching. The hides are generally fine calves, often infilled by hand with care and skill. Featured classic models include derbies, brogues, double buckle shoes, desert boots. The colours – tan, brown, reddish -recall the nuances of the forest floor, as if to reproduce the autumn foliage. Blue, black and grey are also featured. There are several casual styles and different inspirational moods, all united by a common denominator: the combination of stylish and sporty, the desire to break formality with a touch of active wear. The feel of a holiday in Saint Moritz defines the Pi50 and Running-Trek projects. The first is available in two models, derby lace up shoes and Chelsea boots with zip on the back. Three alternative materials are available. The structured bottom features a coloured microlite midsole and EVA outsole, all sewn in Black Rapid. The softer version has super shiny leather and leg with performance fabric inserts, very minimal and fashionable. Alternatively, there is suede for the more casual version, while the super glamorous version is all crocodile. The Chelsea boot is available in two versions, polished leather or suede. The Running Trek project, a model inspired by trekking, recalls the running shoe with its multi-material bottom made of EVA -leather-rubber. There is a choice of high top and low top models. Active-glam is a dynamic and youthful project: available in low and high top versions, it comes with a sort of inner shoe, which acts as a continuation of the inner and hugs the foot. The Hybrid project is minimal chic: it is not a real sneaker, but a fusion of classic and urban style concepts.
