The vegan shoes by Good Guys
The French brand presents the A/W 2016 shoe collection on the occasion of its 5th anniversary
With his tenth collection of shoes, the one for Autumn/Winter 2016, the brand by the founder and designer Marion Hanania celebrates its first five years of business. During the design, development and manufacturing phases, the brand consistently follows a vegan and cruelty-free product philosophy, always maintaining a very high quality in the production of all its items. The use of materials such as microfibre, canvas and natural rubber give life to lightweight, waterproof, durable and, of course, comfortable and practical shoes. As Good Guys is distributed around the world, from Australia and Canada to the United States and Europe, Marion designs a selection of different styles that can adapt to various climatic conditions.
The “classic and basic” that the designer has developed during these years are celebrated in styles like the derby Aponi and the desert boots Ayita, to which new lifeblood has been injected with the addition of an iconic Vibram sole of very high quality. Stylish and very comfortable, the Norider boots are made even more practical thanks to a zip on the back. This season, one of the true must-have items is the very versatile Gallo. One of the favourite styles by the Good Guys team, destined to become a favourite item also by the customers who will buy it, is the Porgy, with its iconic 1960’s design, a microfibre upper and a natural rubber crepe sole. Samo Fur, last season absolute bestseller, now wears a “new coat” for the upcoming cold season and becomes even more comfortable thanks to the fake fur lining and the upper in soft vegan suede. The Duke represents the trendiest and more rock’n roll way to wear cowboy boots on the planet.
And because celebrating from time immemorial means ending up with friends, Marion worked this season with Daqui and Coralie from Le Triciycle, a vegetarian restaurant located in rue de Paradis in Paris where delicious hot dogs can be enjoyed. The three have carefully designed a small range of sneakers available at Good Guys retailers.
