MAT

A natural allure for compact, smooth, sometimes slightly ruffed up leather, which changes shape through cuts or designs, laser openwork, netting effects, and a myriad of weaves that imitate panniers, Viennese straw, and baskets. Embossed work, like appliqués, accentuate three- dimensional looks. A relaxed softness alternates with more rigid structures for bucket bags, satchels, and evolutions in backpacks. Weaves are eccentric for flat sandals, perforated ankle boots, and wedge heels with tassels, while belts are thin andcan be wound and criss-crossed over and over, or else wider with recurring braids. Neutral tones of sand and savannah flow into browns and burnt colors, brightened by a few touches of orange and okra.
