Let’s go bananas: Charlotte Olympia
The 2017 Summer Collection, presented on the catwalk during London Fashion Week, was inspired by Carmen Miranda and the singer’s exotic world. Tropical tutti frutti are transformed into clutches and wicker basket handbags, always with an explosive charge of cheerfulness for a night of madness in Rio.
The Charlotte Olympia brand was created in 2008, with its spider’s web logo symbolizing the children’s book, Charlotte’s Web, by E.Brooks White – the fashion designer, who graduated in footwear design from the London College of Fashion, has three children. The brand’s logo became famous among fashionistas around the world and beyond.
Among the awards the designer has received is the British Fashion Award for Accessories Designer of the Year in 2011.
