McQueen Alexander McQueen: fashion meets music

Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen, and her team chose to cast the Japanese psychedelic noise rock band Bo Ningen and the Italian model Greta Varlese for the worldwide advertising campaign of the McQ Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2016 womenswear collection.

The casting could have not been more appropriate, not only because McQ Alexander McQueen has a long tradition of collaborating with artists and musicians, but also because the A/W 2016 collection was party inspired by the convention-breaking youth who were part of the club scene in Shinjuku, Tokyo during the 1970’s.

Shot again by the photographer Harley Weir, the campaign captures images of the members of the band and of Greta wearing looks from both the men’s and women’s collections.

The advertising campaign debuts across the world on international print media and on the social media channels in August.
