Mirtillo in Venice to protect children

Historic childrenswear brand Mirtillo supports production of short film “Ancora un’altra Storia” (Still another story) in collaboration with “Doppia Difesa” association.

Mirtillo, the historic and renowned Italian brand of children apparel, confirms its tradition of engagement in initiatives defending kids and their universe: the brand enthusiastically accepted the invitation of “Doppia Difesa” (Double Defense), the non-profit organization founded in 2007 by TV-personality Michelle Hunziker and attorney at law Giulia Bongiorno that offers legal and psychological counseling to women victim of abuse, discrimination and domestic violence. Mirtillo and “Doppia Difesa” supported the realization of the short film “Ancora un’altra Storia” (Still another story), written and directed by Gabriele Pignotta and produced Manuela Cacciamani, that was presented at Venice Film Festival. Through its storytelling, the short film aims to raise awareness about the rampant issue of parental alienation, a little-known but widespread phenomenon where separated parents can come to abuse their power and turn the love their children feel for the other parent into hate. One third of children from separated parents live through the dramatic experience of parental alienation. Mirtillo strongly supports Doppia Difesa’s social campaign aiming to stimulate positive behaviors towards children even when the differences between parents run deep.
