The new Monticolor collection, comprising of yarns with mineral colours and tones, is inspired by refined gems.
‘Gems of Summer’ is the title of the Monticolor Spring/Summer 2017 collection, inspired by precious stones and consisting of yarns whose substance is revealed through colour with nuances and sensations derived from the world of minerals.
The new developments come as gems of summer nature, but also as bright jewels that attract the senses. The themes are ‘Diamond’, ‘Amethyst’, ‘Turquoise’, ‘Indicolite’, ‘Agate’, ‘Topaz’, ‘Moonstone’ and ‘Obsidian’. ‘Diamond’ signifies purity and preciousness, with discrete hints of light that are expressed on the surfaces with a fresh modern looking touch.
‘Amethyst’ is surreal and dreamlike, where gentle fluidity and modern shades fade into mirrored metal yarns. And if ‘Turquoise’ is full of rhythm and dynamism with its comfortable elastic feature, ‘Indicolite’ speaks of freedom and imagination with inventive expressions that are evident through denim and graphic aspects. Beauty and balance, thanks to the soft lightness and preciousness of blends with noble fibres, triumph in ‘Agate’ while in ‘Topaz’ modernity and splendour win with bright geometries in mercerised cotton. ’Obsidian’ is primordial and ancestral while ‘Moonstone’ looks sweetly feminine.
