The One Milano: a new appointment during Milan Fashion Week

Mifur and Mipap create a great new hub for high end ready-to-wear: more than 300 brands will participate to the first edition in February 2017

A new appointment for fashion professionals as well as an interesting opportunity for Italian and international buyers: The One Milano, a new trade show where the know-how and experience of Mipap, the ready-to-wear trade show organised by Fiera Milano, and Mifur, the fur and leather trade show organised by the homonymous institution, converge. Overseen by Ente Fieristico Mifur, the first edition will take place in the middle of Milan Fashion Week from February 24th to 27th 2017 in Halls 3 and 4 of fieramilanocity and will witness the participation of over 300 companies.

The biannual The One Milano aims to strengthen and increase its position as an unmissable event in the international trade show calendar. Opting for a target positioning, it aims to complete the offer from the Milanese fashion system and to offer a precious and alluring high end contemporaneity in different shapes and forms, focusing on product quality and guaranteed manufacturing as well as style and origin of the collections. The integration of the exhibition proposal that characterises Mipap and the careful selection of companies that livens up Mifur constitute a new opportunity of great interest for fashion professionals to forge useful contacts with related sectors representatives.

In particular, it will cover a strategic role especially for foreign buyers, for whom the transversal offer showcased in the new trade show will be even more appropriate for their needs. “The integration of these two events will make the most of the uniqueness of the two individual trade shows” said Norberto Albertalli, president of Mifur, “and will offer companies of the leather and fur industry another opportunity to showcase they collections to the market as the new trade show is going to be biannual. Until now, Mifur showcased its collections only in the winter edition but, as a matter of fact, more than a third of the exhibitors produce summer collections: we were strongly asked to be in the calendar every six months because it is essential to meet up with the international market that Mifur represented and that Fiera Milano guarantees”.

The One Milano has a unique exhibition layout and a functional path for buyers’ demands, extremely compatible with highlighting all the brands that so far livened up the two trade shows and all those companies that will find in this new project the ideal showcase in a time of great turmoil for the Italian and global fashion. To help make The One Milano a truly unique opportunity, Fiera Milano will not organise the September 2016 edition of Mipap.
