Ramponi – Talent and creativity
First prize to Francesco D’Amico and to his brand Damico Milano at the fourth edition of the Premio Ramponi.
The talent and creativity of Francesco D’Amico, the young designer who launched the Damico Milano brand in September 2015, have been recognized with the first prize by the jury of the fourth edition of the Premio Ramponi award. Therefore, thanks to the partnership with the Milan trade show White, the designer presented his new collection of women’s shoes at the January edition of White Man & Woman in via Tortona 27 in Milan, a destination regularly visited by the top Italian and international buyers. “To bring forth the culture of new talents is also necessary to expand its room for manoeuvre. The enhancement work that my company is pursuing aims to create a dialogue and a professional relationship with the participants of all previous editions of the award», specifies Alfredo Ramponi, founder of the Premio Ramponi and owner of Ramponi SRL, the leading company in the production of synthetic crystals and ABS studs for clothing and accessories inherited from his father in 1988.
In view of the success of previous editions, the Premio Ramponi takes on a new look in 2017. Nevertheless, its essential values, its main ambitions, its primary mission, which are the company’s patronage and the bond with young brands, the desire to create and evolve into an authentic new talent network, focused on development and support that freely allows the design process as well as growth, remain exactly the same. Therefore 2017 witnesses an evolution which follows two paths: a new selection by the award committee in January and February alongside the pre-existing formulas in June and September. Two new paths that are to be interpreted in the light of the desire to enhance the opportunities for collaboration and connection, especially considering the validity and quality of the applicants to the Premio Ramponi.
