Stella Jean narrates the parallelism between these elements… both with the desire to celebrate one’s roots and ancestors through art, whether aristocratic or ethnic… Primitivist. Over-sized jackets and coats alternate with multi-decorated shirts. Soft, feminine forms that mix with masculine looks, warm browns and bright tones, almost electric… in rich, maxi tribal prints. Clutches in coloured Plexiglas and feathers. A mix-and-match that is artistic, temporal, and geographic.
