The 45th edition of Filo closed with satisfaction from the exhibitors and with a greater number of visitors
A sense of satisfaction confirmed by Paolo Monfermoso who sees the first result of the commitment in communication, particularly in the markets of greatest interest to the exhibitors, in the higher than expected number of visitors, especially from abroad. For some time Agenzia ICE has been contributing to the opening of new horizons by facilitating the visit of foreign delegations, which for this edition arrived from Japan, Turkey, France, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, in addition to organising ‘The Yarn of Internationalisation’ conference in collaboration with Filo and Sistema Moda Italia.
During the inauguration of the conference Marilena Bolli, president of Unione Industriale Biellese, emphasised the above-mentioned theme by arguing how fundamental the support by trade shows and the promotion abroad are for small enterprises and how fundamental is to cooperate. A point of view also strongly expressed by Ercole Botto Poala, President of Milano Unica, who thinks that at a time of great change it is necessary to join together the various geographic districts to provide a unified view of the Italian textile industry, as confirmed by the positive results of the collaboration between Filo and Milano Unica for Filo Shanghai. Reiterating the support of Sistema Moda Italia, the General Director Gianfranco Di Natale pointed out that targeted interventions and projects can contribute significantly to internationalisation. For its debut at Filo, Po.in.tex, Polo di Innovazione Tessile della Regione Piemonte, showcased the results of its research and the possibilities for new developments demonstrating how synergies, in this case between Unione Industriale Biellese and Città Studi di Biella, are indispensable for the Italian textile industry.
The 46th edition of Filo will take place at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan from the 28th to the 29 of September 2016.
