The Inaugural Arab Fashion Week

Arab Fashion Week (AFW) celebrated its highly acclaimed inaugural event that featured a series of fashion shows, conferences, exhibitions and held at the Park Hyatt Dubai last November, closing the event with a glittering gala dinner.
The region’s VIPs and press were introduced, over the course of the three days, to 14 selected International and regional designers: Abed Mahfouz, Laura Mancini, Atelier Leon Leon, Selphie Bong, Adelina Rusu, Sylvio Kovacic, Tony Ward, Tiiya by Alanoud, Genny, Mireille Dagher, Rodrigo Otazu, Yu Jordy Fu and Claes Iversen who showcased their Ready-Couture collections; a style resulting from the mix of the Hotel Couture And Ready to wear, that best fits the regional market.
H.E. Cavaliere Mario Boselli, the Honorary President of both Arab Fashion Council and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana), commented: “It is with great pleasure that I can regard our first fashion week as an important milestone for the Arab world and we celebrate this Important milestone as a homage to a region that is abounding with talent that has a true affinity for fashion. Seeing the overwhelming reception to Arab Fashion Week, we look forward to the next installment in March 2016.”
