Three Brahms notes, another beautiful collection…

Unveiled at Pitti Bimbo, the new MiMiSol by Imelde Bronzieri collection is a symbol of continuity as well as innovation

The collections that Imelde Bronzieri has been designing in the last five years are comparable to real poems. Season after season, they are like the rhymes of a poem born from the three musical notes Mi Mi Sol with which the famous lullaby by Johannes Brahms starts and represent the poetic message of a brand that has been very successful since its debut. The Spring/Summer 2018 collection is a symbol of continuity as well as innovation. If on one hand the collaboration continues with the artist and photographer Mauro Balletti, who interprets with his camera the MiMiSol creations since the beginning, on the other hand the logo graphics have been changed thanks to a redesign by Giovanni Cavalleri in collaboration with the calligrapher Gabriella Hess.

”While I was designing this collection I wanted it to be contemporary and a mirror that would reflect perfectly my sensitivity when choosing materials, when opting for modern shapes, when making sure that every detail is taking care of because my fundamental goal remains transmitting emotions” reveals Imelde Bronzieri. “Today’s children are digital children to whom we have to communicate the importance of owning fewer clothes as long as they are high quality garments and that caring for a garment means taking care of oneself” concludes the designer. This is why the new collection is a sublime triumph of volutes, spirals and brushstrokes of vibrant colours and why it has such a strong identity that makes it immediately recognisable, without the need to check the label on the garments.

Because it is not just a matter of fashion but of thought and attitude. The perfect example of the MiMiSol aesthetics is a signature dress made of 3D fabric from the very first collection that is still a bestseller. It is an unmistakable synthesis of modernity that, translating in a contemporary key the charm of garments from yesteryear, blends gracefulness and good taste, both nourished from past traditions but projected onto the future. The very same outfit that was exhibited at the ‘ABC Photoraphy’ exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood in London.
