A long journey Marni spring 2018

The Marni Spring 2018 collection is inspired by the past and projects itself towards contemporaneity, interpreting iconic pieces from the history of costumes.
Swimwear from the ‘20s, circle skirts from the ‘50s, and bourgeois suits are reborn into a new life, following a very modern dimension. If macro prints, such as geometric flowers, blend together with beaded inlays, then pictorial prints – naïf sketches by artist Magdalena Suarez – are traces of dreams, exotic landscapes and animals, balanced between reality and fantasy.
