Ballo del Doge: a full injection of glamour for Venice
Everything is set and ready for the dreamlike event created by Antonia Sautter scheduled for Saturday, February 25th at Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice
The most coveted carnival event in the world, a daydream enclosed within an outstanding artistic production, the happening during which each guest is free to live his or her own emotional tale. Devised by Antonia Sautter, the Ballo del Doge is an artistic social event and an unforgettable experience thanks to its contemporary reinterpretation of ancient Venetian aristocratic banquets.
Ms Sautter decided to focus the attention of the 2017 edition on the city of Venice and to celebrate its allure and traditions. Under the starry sky, the beauty of the city will be revealed to the eyes of the participants through the symbols that made its history. The doges that led the city throughout the years, the courtesans who lightened up its social scene, the merchants that determined its fortunes and wealth.
Three floors of the Palazzo Pisani Moretta will be transformed into an authentic live movie set that is going to envelop the audience with very high calibre performances and music sets in order to enhance in a unanimous vision all the charm of the seventh art. Lastly, the glamour that, together with magic, is the hallmark of Venice, a city that is an eternal custodian of timeless style.
With the background of kaleidoscopic sets, over 100 artists are going to perform music and dance pieces during the sumptuous dinner with a menu by the renowned chef Nicola Batavia. Antonia Sautter declared: “My heart will going to be beating fast to the last moment until all the frenzy that preceded the preparation of the event will slip away, as we will fluctuate serenely, suspended between sky and water, just as the gondolas on the Venice lagoon”.
